Request for Expression of Interest: Platform Livelihoods for Youth with…
Summary: Caribou Digital is seeking a research partner (individual or firm) headquartered in Kenya to collaborate on a qualitative study on understanding key new digital livelihood opportunities and challenges for young people living with disabilities, in an increasingly digital economy shaken by COVID-19. More details below: Caribou Digital is a research and advisory firm that helps clients change the world through building inclusive and ethical digital economies. In partnership with Mastercard Foundation, Caribou Digital has been exploring how platforms impact women and men’s livelihoods (e.g. how they work, sell, trade, create and engage on platforms) for the last year in Kenya. We are now looking to expand this inquiry to focus on the digital needs and experiences of young Kenyans living with disabilities. We are looking for an individual or firm with strong expertise on the topic of youth living with disabilities in Kenya to lead the research, in partnership with us. The research is expected to be running from September 2021 to April 2022. This application is a brief call for expression of interest. Please be sure to respond to the questionnaire (five questions) and short-listed candidates will be invited to submit a more detailed proposal.
