PROCUREMENT OFFICER – NAIROBI
Our client, a company in Nairobi is looking for a procurement officer to implement sourcing strategies by evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring purchases are cost effective and of good quality. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for the effective stock management and offering an effective and efficient customer service delivery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
. Overseeing and all purchasing activities.
. Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
. Reviewing, comparing, analyzing prices for different products and services to be purchased.
. Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
. Supervising and carrying out confirmation on receiving and dispatching of stock as per laid down procedures.
. Coordinating and accurately maintaining the stock movements in the assigned store at all times.
. Conducting regular stock take of all stocks.
. Ensure storage space optimization in materials stores
. Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
. Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
. Prepare daily stock movement (reconciliations).
. Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
. Maintaining a supplier’s database.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
. Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management.
. A minimum of Three (3) years’ work experience in experience in purchasing and supplies management.
. Demonstrated knowledge of procurement principles.
. Hands-on experience with MS Office.
. Organization skills.
MONTHLY GROSS SALARY: Ksh. 30,000 – 35,000
