Our client is a leading ICT solutions provider delivering a wide range of world class technological solutions. The company was founded to provide innovative, secure and high-tech solution in Africa and beyond. They are looking for Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the individual projects/ systems, and for managing day-to-day activities based on the scope, budget, and schedule constraints. He/She sets the tone with respect to data quality and interact with the business representatives to establish the data quality requirements.


• Devising and establishing Smart’s quality procedures, standards and specifications.
• Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met.
• Looking for ways to improve systems and increase efficiency.
• Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
• Making suggestions for changes and improvements in the systems and how to implement them.
• Using relevant quality tools and making sure Managers and other staff understand how to improve the business.
• Act as a liaison between the project developers, business team and other stakeholders.
• Develop processes and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives.
• Follow a defined, agreed upon project management methodology for Planning, Defining, Execution, Monitoring and Control, and reporting activities within the project lifecycle.
• Prepare project initiation and governing documents like, Project Charter and Project Management Plans.
• Assigning work to System Developers in collaboration with the work stream owner and ensuring the team remains motivated to deliver.
• Manage project resource allocation as well as constantly monitoring on project progress toward meeting its objectives, determining the cause of deviations from the plan if any and take corrective actions to address deviations.
• Facilitate the definition of scope, service levels and user requirements.
• Organize and ensure proper and adequate testing phases within the project.
• Communication management: – Provide regular reporting and presentation of project status, progress, risks and issues to all stakeholders.
• Risk management – Identify events that are likely to derail realization of project objectives and define strategies to minimize any negative consequences.


• Skill in customer service & support and training with demonstrated customer service orientation.
• Strong and well developed analytical and report writing skills.
• Quick learner with demonstrated product knowledge and professionalism.
• Excellence in problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal.
• Team player, with ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and other service delivery functions.
• Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, heavy workloads and remain calm under pressure with a high degree of individual responsibility, all of which are implicit with the position.
• An understanding and appreciation of other people’s work disciplines.
• Demonstrable team leadership qualities.


• Holder of a bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science.
• Experience with project management software will be an added advantage.
• Project management certification or a minimum of 4 years of projects related experience and training in lieu of certification.
• Experience/knowledge of Agile principles in project delivery will be a definite advantage

MONTHLY GROSS SALARY: Ksh. 100,000 – 150,000
